Surefire Way to Get Unstuck

My clients and social media followers probably know about my books. However, what they probably don’t know is what led up to my first international bestseller. Would you believe that book started out when I was in a bad place? Would you believe that at the time, I did not know that it would all turn out the way that it ultimately did? But this is the truth! Let me tell you what to do if you’re in a bad place right now – if you’re feeling hemmed in and stuck and trapped.

Let it go.

That feeling of being stuck, of being unable to move forward or get out of the place that holds one a prisoner – this is a familiar feeling. It’s that critical mind that keeps us in that place and we don’t know what to do. You’ve probably tried everything to get out of that rut and you’re probably frustrated that nothing seems to be going your way. This is the point when you have to tell yourself that something needs to change because that dead-end situation is then going to lead to hopelessness and some real problems – perhaps anxiety and depression.

So this is when you have to learn to let it all go – this is the advice that my mentor Bob Proctor gave to me when I was at this really low point in my life. When you do decide to simply let go, there is an incredibly light feeling, as though a heavy burden had been lifted off of you! An instance of feeling stuck was when I was going through a divorce and the proceedings were in the Supreme Court. Again this is when I decided to simply let it go. When you make the decision to let it go is when you let go of the frustration, the hopelessness that is sucking the life out of life!

Tap into your creativity.

Even as we flounder in our darkest times, there is always a glimmer of light that we can grasp on to. That light is our inner power, our creative energies. As I said earlier, my first international bestseller came out of just such a place when things seemed bad and I was feeling stuck. Check out this episode to know about that story and how I moved from a bad place to a place where I was doing something positive, constructive, and productive – where I was putting my power to use!

So yes it is important to let go and step into your future. I know that this can sound intimidating and difficult. It can sound like having to take too big a step, make too drastic a change in your life. But you don’t have to. I recommend taking baby steps – strategic baby steps that help you bring about that change gradually. You don’t have to write a book. To be honest I did not think I was churning out a bestseller when I first put pen to paper. Check this out to know more about unlocking your own creative process and reconnecting to the magic of life.
